I had some in-house training today at work.
The lady who was carrying out the training was a lovely Scottish lady, very friendly, but oh so chatty. She started off with introductions, which are the norm, but when it got to her she went off on a tangent for half an hour about her kids. I thought maybe this was just to settle us all in and make us feel comfortable with her, but no, it was just her way.
Whilst the topic was interesting, it was six hours long and I swear could have been covered in a couple of hours. She was very knowledgeable on the topic, but alas I came away knowing more about her personal life than the topic at hand.
The awful thing is, she was such a nice lady and at the end we had to do a short quiz and then she said turn it over so could we fill out a assessment form for the day. But our names were on it!! How could we fill out a form about her and the course honestly, knowing she collects them!! I wanted to be honest about how I felt, but I also genuinely liked the lady, but not how she presented the course!
I thought assessments were suppose to be anonymous!
What would you of done??
