So, yesterday my girlfriend and I took my three yr old to the park to play.
It’s a small children’s play park where my children live and most of the time relatively quiet. After a while a couple of young teenagers turned up on bikes, which is fine as there’s a ramp there outside the play area for that thing, but they decided to play music loudly through a speaker. I’m all for youngsters enjoying their music regardless if I find their choice not to my taste but what they were playing was the problem. This is a park used by little kids like my three yr old and another child who was around the same age, so when there’s music blaring ranting on about F**k this and Bitches that, it’s not really appropriate. The other kids Grandad politely asked they tone it down a bit and despite the teens moody silence they did leave the play area but the music continued. I think they were trying to be rebellious singing aloud to the stuff they were playing after a while so we ignored it not giving it attention that they wanted. I’m not a fan of that genre of music but have no issue others liking it as its the thing at the moment and I’m sure my house tunes were seen as awful to older generations in my youth but blaring it like that where infant children are playing??
