I am an avid recycling-turn-lights-off-don’t-waste-water Freak! I try at every turn to conserve something (even my own energy when possible) However, when I drive past huge empty buildings or even occupied buildings, and I see all the corridors lit inside and huge illuminations outside, I do wonder whether my feeble efforts are really worth it? Why can’t Governments make a policy of turning off wasteful lighting after a certain time of night. I use to live in an apartment block whereby lights were sensor activated so that only when someone was stumbling along one did they turn on. And actually whilst venting. As we live in a country with constant sunshine, would it not be possible to have more solar lighting? It might cost more to initiate but surely this would be a great example to the world? OK vent over, if anyone is listening/reading and can do something please do speak up!
