When you are pregnant, why do people come out with the worst stuff??
They always seem to know about a complication someone had late in birth after you’ve just passed your 12 week ‘safe’ period and feel the need to share with you. You’ve just thought it was safe to tell people when someone pops up with some tragic tale to keep you on your toes!
They love to talk about all negative stuff to do with child birth too. Things like have you made a birth plan? What if plan A does work, whats your plan B,C,D… They tell you their traumatic labour story. How they pushed for hours but didn’t dilate so had to have emergency c-section and blah blah blah. All I know is, baby has to come out one way or another, so my plan is to let nature take it’s course!
Honestly mums, please keep it to yourself, surely you remember how you felt at this stage. Why say to another mum Oh you are quite small/big for this stage? Yes, I am carrying a tiny/massive baby. Seriously? Dr now are we??
My favourite to date when I was pregnant with twins, the patronising hand rub and the ‘good luck, I don’t know how you are going to cope’! (Probably by not being friends with you!)
