Why is it parents seem to think that the entire development of children and their future is entirely dependent on schooling. Do they not realise that part of being a parent is to encourage and develop their child themselves? A school can do so much but it is up to the parent to be a parent out of school hours! I cannot tell you the amount of parents that come in complaining that their little so and so is not writing as well as little so and so, or is not athletically able as little so and so. Parents, a school can only do so much, the rest is up to you and your little so and so! We give them building blocks to enable growth but we cannot take the role of the parent too. Sometimes I wonder why some parents have kids? They seem to see them as everyone else’s responsibility!
