Don’t get me wrong, Xmas (I know, it’s spelt Christmas really) is supposed to be a joyous time of year, full of festivities and celebration. My main problem is the over commercialisation of it all. I mean I went to do a food shop on the 2nd December only to find my local Tesco Extra blaring out all sorts of Xmas songs at a really high volume. It’s like it’s being force fed into my ears and brain. I guess it’s fine if you enjoy that sort of thing, but if you’ve happened to have a stressful morning and typically hate doing the food shop, the last thing I want to hear is someone pushing along their trolley all jolly and singing along at a level so everyone can hear. Just shut the hell up!! Don’t invade my shopping and breathing space with your awful attempt at supermarket karaoke. I’ve just come in here for some milk, bread and a few bits!!
Please, if you enjoy this type of thing, do me a favour and stick to your overjoyous seasonal behaviour behind your own front door.
