Why do people feel that it’s ok to blame their past as to why they behave a certain way today? Why is it some people learn from things that have befallen them, even making them stronger and better people, whilst others wallow.
I didn’t have the best childhood, but I grew up knowing that I would make sure my children did have the best one, full of love. I didn’t grow up thinking oh well I had a crappy one so you can have one too!
My husband’s father was a mean old man with a very short temper, now when he gets ratty with me or the kids, he blames his dad for making him that way. I am sick of hearing that your behaviour is because this or that happened to you. Move on and learn from your past, don’t behave because of it.
Fed up with adults using this kind of excuse for their current behaviour.
We’ve all had difficulties in out lives, its how we learn from them that proves you as a person.
